Common Integration Methods for CentralNic Domains

There is no cost to becoming a CentralNic Reseller. Once you become a Reseller, you will gain access to full documentation on how to automate and integrate our domain registration system. We also maintain a library of graphics that you are free to use. These tools are available from within your Reseller Control Panel.

There are many ways to integrate CentralNic domains. Here are some examples:

1. Search Integration

CentralNic maintains an industry standard whois server (whois.centralnic.net) that operates exactly the same as other top level domain name whois servers and uses the same protocols. A Search Integration involves having code written that queries our whois server along with the whois servers of other domains that you sell and then returning our whois search results along with the results of the other domains.

We've seen good perl programmers set this type of system up in a few days. So when someone runs a domain search on your site, the result could look something like this:

Common terms like this are increasingly unavailable under the top level domains. With CentralNic you will be able to present more available domains to your customers using this method.

2. Parallel Integration

If you are curious about the effectiveness of CentralNic domains but don't want to change anything yet with your existing domain registration system, then a Parallel Integration is for you. All you have to do is place a link or a graphic (available from your Reseller Control Panel) on your home page. Then link that to a separate registration system for CentralNic domains.

We have had Resellerss that have used this method to get started because they didn't want to change anything in their normal registration program, but that have since, gone on to full Search Integration due to the success they have experienced with our domains. Many of our new Resellers start with Parallel Integration as it allows them to test the waters and get a feel for our how our domains will work for them (they will work).

In the example below, they have simply created a link off the side of their main page that brings you to a separate registration whois and sales process for us.com as well as all other CentralNic domains.

3. Whois.Cart() tm or Zaygo Software Implementations

Several whois software companies have written turn-key solutions for integrating our domain selling system into your offer. One is Zaygo.com and the other is Whois.Cart() tm.

Whois.Cart () tm, which is written by Saeven.net Consulting offers a suite of products that help you to sell Enom, Directi, or OpenSrs domains as well as CentralNic 's. They also offer the ability to integrate these systems into several hosting solutions including Cpanel and Ensim.

Whois.Cart() tm is a low-priced but high octane solution and has a vibrant support community. It has been highly recommended by domain resellers that we've spoken too. They recently added a plug in that allows for full turn-key CentralNic integration.

Zaygo's DomainCart & HostingCart software supports all of CentralNic's domain endings. It comes highly recommended and allows for whois lookups from all over the world.

One of our Resellers, 101domain.com uses Zaygo and they were able to add our names to their offering on about 40 sites, within a week of hearing about us. There is a licensing fee, but it can be a bargain when you consider the cost of good programmers today. The software is very good; also flexible and easily configurable.

If you are new to the domain business, Whois.Cart() tm or Zaygo will make it easy for you. This is turnkey domain seller software and they have a plug-in that fully automates for CentralNic as well as for many Registrars.
